“Have you ever wanted to pack your bags and travel the world, all while stretching out your limbs, paws, or claws? Then this book is your passport to becoming a yogi voyager! Meet new furry, feathered, and scaly friends of all shapes and sizes in new places while learning their favorite yoga poses. An endless adventure that will leave you feeling refreshed and well-traveled after each read.”
This book has been years in the making, and I’m proud to announce that it’s finally available for purchase! The idea started back in college with some original drawings I did for a project in class. I had wanted to turn them into something special, but wasn’t sure how to just yet. After I grew a wild hair, I went online and presented my idea and now I have this very special book I get to share with you all! It is put together with tears, hard work and lots of love! I hope you all enjoy!

Why not?! It’s fun to imagine a world where animals can join in on fun activities that we as humans do on a daily basis. I had to get creative in the way their bodies move, but I loved the idea of many different animals doing different poses. I wanted people to know that yoga is for every body! Even lions, cheetahs and bears, oh my! ;)

The originals of my illustrations are a mixed media using pen, watercolor and marker. I wanted to get as much vibrant color in there as possible but leave the original movement of the watercolor.

The longest part of my whole book process was hand drawing each of my illustrations. With the editing and printing process and everything in between, the whole project took about 1-2 years.

I chose a starting point, New York, because that is one of my favorite cities to visit. Then on a map I drew my route in which I wanted little yogis to take and went from there. Choosing animals native to that part of the world and giving them names that were also common in that area. I wanted to make sure I “traveled” to a good variety of places throughout the world. I had to add a stop in Colorado of course, and what better animal to choose than my best buddy Frank!
